Andrés Cuesta Sacristán (Valladolid, 1999) is a new media artist based in Valencia. Their work incorporates elements of gaming and internet culture into a multimedia practice, recognizing in these mechanisms a cultural structure where consumption and production converge.
From this perspective, they explore the languages of the digital environment to construct speculative worlds that reflect on the identities inhabiting the internet as a real medium, with its contradictions, tensions, and possible futures.
Their practice is often developed in tandem with others, following a transdisciplinary approach that values collaboration and community as a core of the creative and intellectual process.
They hold a BA in Illustration from the Escuela de Arte de Oviedo (EAO), a bachelor's in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) with a specialization in New Media, and are currently finishing a Master's Degree in Visual Arts and Multimedia (AVM) at the same university. They have been a research collaboration fellow in emerging technologies at the Sculpture Department and have received honors such as the Best University Student Award (XXIV) and the Capitanía General de Valencia Prize (2025).
